GrowthAssistant is seeking a Data Visualization Analyst to support research and analytics teams by reviewing scientific papers and other technical documents to extract, organize, and structure data for analysis. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to interpret visual data (graphs, charts, figures) and convert it into usable datasets.

Data Extraction: Review scientific or academic papers to extract quantitative data from figures, charts, and graphs.
Data Structuring: Convert extracted data into organized, machine-readable formats (e.g., Excel, CSV, or Google Sheets).
Quality Assurance: Validate and cross-check data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with the sources.
Data Visualization Support: Assist in creating clear and accurate data visualizations or summary tables for analysis and presentation.
Process Documentation: Maintain detailed records of extraction methods, sources, and version histories for transparency and reproducibility.
Tool Utilization: Use productivity and AI tools (such as Excel formulas, ChatGPT, or custom scripts) to streamline data extraction and verification.
Collaboration: Work closely with the client or research team to clarify data requirements, provide progress updates, and adjust based on feedback.

Now that you know about the day-to-day tasks, here's our ideal candidate:

Experience in data entry, research assistance, or data analysis is an advantage.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio).
Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail.
Ability to interpret data from visual elements such as charts and graphs.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
