GrowthAssistant is hiring a Performance Video Editor to produce high-volume, high-converting ad creatives for leading U.S.-based D2C and eCommerce brands. This remote, full-time role is designed for experienced Filipino editors who understand that great ads aren't just "pretty" - they are engineered to sell.
You will join a fast-paced team where data drives design. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into "scroll-stopping" content across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, focusing on Direct Response (DR) principles and rapid iteration.
What You Will Do
- End-to-End Ad Creation: Edit high-performing short-form video ads (15-60s) specifically for paid social (Meta, TikTok, Reels, Shorts).
- High-Volume Production: Efficiently manage a high-volume workload, creating multiple ad variations (hooks, formats, and aspect ratios) from a single footage set.
- Direct Response Execution: Apply DR fundamentals: strong hooks, narrative arcs, and clear CTAs to every project to ensure maximum retention and conversion.
- Footage Mastery: Audit raw footage and UGC to identify the most engaging moments; select appropriate B-roll to fill gaps and enhance the story.
- AI Integration: Use AI tools like ElevenLabs for voiceovers and stay updated on the latest AI creative tech (Arcads, etc.) to speed up workflows.
- Collaborative Iteration: Follow creative briefs closely to minimize revisions and participate in performance feedback loops to optimize future edits.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, specifically within a high-volume performance agency or DTC brand (e.g., TubeScience, Rickhouse, etc.).
- Expert Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Direct Response Training: Completion of formal DR training (e.g., AdsRx) or equivalent internal agency training is a major plus.
- Technical Precision: Expert at on-screen text overlays, captions, J-cuts, zooms, and basic sound design.
- Autonomy & Speed: Proven ability to make strong editing decisions quickly without constant hand-holding.
- Portfolio Requirement: A portfolio featuring diverse paid ads for DTC/Ecom brands (please note: creator/narrative-only portfolios will not be considered).
- Shift: Ability to work U.S. business hours (PST/EST) with a stable internet connection.
Nice to Have
- Experience with After Effects for light motion graphics.
- Understanding of Direct Response copywriting (benefit-first structures and urgency).
- Experience using performance data (ROAS, CTR) to inform editing choices.
