We’re seeking a detail-oriented Data Operations Analyst with advanced Excel/Google Sheets expertise to transform large, unstructured datasets into clear, actionable insights. In this role, you’ll clean and standardize data from multiple sources, build structured reporting libraries, and generate performance reports that highlight key marketing and media KPIs. Must-haves:
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets expertise (pivot tables, complex formulas, custom calculations, data cleaning)
- Experience analyzing large, unstructured datasets from multiple sources (e.g., Amazon Advertising, retail app data, DSP/ROS feeds)
- Strong ability to standardize naming conventions and build structured libraries for data inputs
- Proficiency in creating pivot tables, calculated fields, and performance metrics (e.g., CPM, CTR, CVR, SAC, Gross Adds)
- Ability to generate daily/weekly performance reports in Excel/Sheets and organize data for easy trend analysis
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to handle repetitive data tasks with accuracy
- Familiarity with internal communication tools (Slack, Gmail)
Core Tasks:
- Clean, organize, and standardize incoming raw datasets from multiple sources (Amazon DSP, ROS, etc.) into usable formats
- Build and maintain a library of naming conventions, delimiters, and structured datasets for consistent reporting
- Create and automate pivot tables and calculated fields for KPIs (SAC, CTR, conversion rates, post-click vs. post-view performance)
- Generate daily/weekly Excel-based reports segmented by placements, channels, and shows; enable quick trend comparisons (e.g., week-over-week, comp shows)
- Build custom decks (PowerPoint/Google Slides) to summarize performance data with visualizations and context provided by the client
- Document SOPs for recurring reporting processes and data handling
- Support ad hoc data pulls and assist in preparing reports for premieres, campaigns, and high-priority launches
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with SQL (joins, grouping, data transformations)
- Exposure to BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Google Data Studio)
- Basic scripting (VBA, Python) for data automation
- Familiarity with performance marketing KPIs and OTT streaming industry data
