We are seeking a motivated Business Development Assistant to drive new customer acquisition for our client. This is a great opportunity to grow your sales career in a fast-paced tech company.

Core Tasks:

Agent Outreach & Follow-Up

  • Call agents daily to reconnect, follow up on interest, confirm next steps, and assist with appointments/quoting.
  • Prioritize calls within 48–72 hours of events to maintain warm relationships.
    Conduct targeted outbound campaigns for stalled agents or incomplete paperwork, using a friendly, professional phone presence.
     

Pipeline & Portal / CRM Management

  • Enter and update lead/agent info in CRM/portal; keep records accurate and up to date.
    Track agent progress: appointments, documents, quotes, and binding activity.
  • Highlight focus lists for the Channel Lead (e.g., top agents to call, stalled cases).
     

Sales Support & Call Support

  • Prepare brief dossiers for key calls and join selected calls to take notes and document follow-ups.
  • Send clear recap emails with next steps; coordinate calendars and follow-up meetings.
     

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Track outreach activity and outcomes (calls, appointments, documents collected, reactivated agents).
  • Share patterns and agent feedback with the team; suggest small process improvements to streamline workflows.

Must-Haves:

  • Experience in insurance (especially personal lines such as home/auto/jewelry) or similar verticals (i.e. financial services)
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Development / Business Development / Inside Sales / Appointment Setting with:
    • High-volume outbound calling
    • Following up on leads from events, inbound, or marketing campaigns 
  • Proven success booking meetings, moving leads through a pipeline, and hitting SDR/BDR KPIs
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with a neutral or very clear accent 
  • Comfortable spending 4+ hours per day on the phone, speaking with agents, office staff, and other stakeholders
  • Strong phone presence: confident, friendly, and professional—even when you’re unsure, you can stay composed and sound in control
  • Experience working with CRMs and/or portals to log calls, update statuses, and manage a pipeline (Salesforce, HubSpot, Ontraport, or similar) 
  • High coachability and proactivity
  • Strong organizational skills and high follow-through—you don’t let tasks or agents drop

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in insurance product services 
  • Prior experience working with independent agents/agencies or in an insurance carrier/broker environment

Perks & Benefits

  • Salary: Up to Php 90,000 / $9 hr depending on experience
